Emma cleared out her desk at 5 AM.
Left the letter on his chair.

Anyone going for interview this week?
Don’t forget to say this at the end of the interview:
✅ “I truly appreciate the time that we have spent discussing this role. I’m excited. My experience aligns well, and I am confident that I will be an exceptional asset to the team. Do you have a timeline for when you’ll be making a decision?”
✅ “Thank you very much for your time. This job presents an exciting opportunity. I have been looking for a position in which I can use my strong organizational skills and expand my computer skill set. I really want to join a small company like this because it allows me to take on more responsibility and make a real difference.
Can you tell me what the next step is?”
✅ “Thank you for your time today; you have given me a very clear picture of the position. I genuinely believe that I can add real value to the role and your company, and I would love the opportunity to prove myself. What is your timeline for selecting a candidate?”
Closing an interview session with these sentences is better than just saying “thank you.”
The interviewer will feel more appreciated and see that you are a strong candidate. So don’t forget to give it a try!

Before You Resign From Your Current Job, Do THIS First!
✅ Step 1: Send this exact message to the HR/recruiter of your new company:
"I have reviewed, signed, and accepted the employment offer.
Please confirm if I may proceed with resigning from my current job."
✅ Step 2: Wait for their clear, written confirmation.
Why this matters:
✔️ If they reply: “Yes, please proceed.”
That’s a written acknowledgment that you’re resigning based on their confirmed offer.
If the company withdraws the offer later, they may be legally obligated to compensate you
(depends on your region’s laws).
If they delay, avoid the question, or give vague responses?
That’s a red flag.
Do NOT resign. Protect your current job..
Your job is your livelihood.
Move smart. Protect yourself.

Interview question: "Tell me about yourself?"
Typical answers that interviewers get tired of hearing:
❌ "My name... My age... I live in..."
❌ "I love learning new things."
❌ "I am a hardworking & fast learner."
What exactly do they want?
👉 They want to see who you are as a professional, not your life history.
👉 They want to understand what your strengths are and what makes you relevant for the role.
👉 They want to see clarity, confidence & direction.
So how do you give smart, smooth and stand out answers?
Use this formula. 👇
1) Start with your professional identity
Not a name. Not age. Keep coming in with "who you are in the world of work."
Example:
"I'm a content strategist with experience in social media & data-driven marketing..."
For the interviewer, clear picture in just 1 line.
2) Share 1–2 measurable achievements
It's part of a lot of skipping. Achievement doesn't have to be bombastic. Enough something that shows impact.
Example:
“… In my old company, I managed the content calendar for 3 brands and managed to increase engagement by 40% in 4 months."
3) Connect with skills that are closely related to the job
Pick 2–3 skills that the role really needs.
Example:
"Most of my work involves content planning, analytics & audience behaviour..."
4) Close with direction, where you want to go
This is where you show alignment with the company.
Example:
“… That's why I'm looking for a role that can give exposure to bigger campaigns and teams that like to experiment."
Example of a solid answer:
"I am a content strategist who focuses on social media & data-driven campaigns. In my previous role, I managed several brands and managed to increase the engagement of one brand by 40% in four months through more strategic content mixing.
Most of my work revolves around content planning, analytics and understanding audience behavior, things that I see as important for this role.
Now I am looking for opportunities to scale up on bigger campaigns and contribute to an agile and creative team, which is why I am confident this position aligns with my career direction."

My wife and I almost lost our marriage to a friendship.
Not an affair.
Not another man.
Her best friend.
It started small.
A text here. A call there.
"She just gets me."
I didn't think anything of it.
Until I noticed my wife told her things she didn't tell me.
Hard days at work. Fears about the kids. Doubts about us.
Her best friend got the real her.
I got the tired version.
The leftover version.
The one who said "I'm fine" when I asked how she was.
One night I found her crying on the phone.
With her.
Not me.
I stood in the doorway.
She didn't even notice.
That's when I realized:
I wasn't losing my wife to another man.
I was losing her to a counterfeit intimacy that felt safer than me.
No risk.
No vulnerability.
No covenant weight.
Just comfort without cost.
I sat her down the next morning.
"I feel like I'm third in my own marriage."
