#Thread 1/3

If you’re a Data Analyst, CRM Analyst, or aspiring Marketing Analyst who wants to move from Junior into senior-level commercial impact in the next 12 weeks, read this. 👇👇 You don’t get promoted for building dashboards. You get promoted for influencing revenue. Most analysts stop at reporting: - CTR. - Conversion rate. - CPA. Senior analysts answer: Where should we scale? What should we cut? Why did revenue move? What do we do next? That’s a different level of thinking. So I built a 12-week practical roadmap designed to move you from metric reporting to commercial decision-making. No theory-heavy fluff. No passive courses. No random portfolio projects. Just 7 real-world builds using real datasets: • Campaign ROI & budget reallocation • Conversion prediction (lead scoring) • A/B testing with statistical confidence • RFM segmentation for retention strategy • Churn risk analysis • Cohort retention modelling • Marketing mix & incrementality thinking By the end, you’ll have: • 6–8 commercial case studies • A strong public portfolio • Clear KPI fluency • Interview-ready impact stories This is how you transition from “analyst” to revenue operator. If that’s your goal, reply ROADMAP, REPOST, and I’ll share it to your DM.

Her resignation letter made the CEO go silent for twenty minutes... Emma cleared out her desk at 5 AM. Left the letter on his chair. No drama. No scene. Just two pages of gratitude. "Thank you for teaching me what leadership isn't." Then came her lessons: "When you took credit for the Harrison campaign, you taught me to document everything." "When you promised three promotions that never materialized, you taught me words without action mean nothing." "When you ranked us against each other quarterly, you taught me competition inside kills collaboration." "When you called weekend meetings for Monday's agenda, you taught me fake urgency is about control, not deadlines." Fifteen examples. Fifteen lessons. Each one specific. Each one true. The worst part? She meant every word. No sarcasm. No bitterness. Just genuine appreciation for the education. "You showed me exactly the leader I refuse to become." He found it Monday morning. Read it once. Read it again. Read it again. Called her cell. Straight to voicemail. His assistant heard something she'd never heard: Nothing. For twenty minutes, he sat there. One of his best people. Gone. No notice. No warning. And every word aimed at him. When he finally emerged, he asked: "How many others feel this way?" His assistant looked at the floor. That told him everything. Emma? She's running her own team now. They've never met her old boss. But they know him. Through every decision she doesn't make for them. Every credit she doesn't take from them. Every promise she keeps to them. Her team thinks she's a natural leader. They're wrong. She was trained by the worst. And learned exactly what not to do. Sometimes the best teachers are the ones who show you exactly who you never want to be.

Anyone going for interview this week? Don’t forget to say this at the end of the interview: ✅ “I truly appreciate the time that we have spent discussing this role. I’m excited. My experience aligns well, and I am confident that I will be an exceptional asset to the team. Do you have a timeline for when you’ll be making a decision?” ✅ “Thank you very much for your time. This job presents an exciting opportunity. I have been looking for a position in which I can use my strong organizational skills and expand my computer skill set. I really want to join a small company like this because it allows me to take on more responsibility and make a real difference. Can you tell me what the next step is?” ✅ “Thank you for your time today; you have given me a very clear picture of the position. I genuinely believe that I can add real value to the role and your company, and I would love the opportunity to prove myself. What is your timeline for selecting a candidate?” Closing an interview session with these sentences is better than just saying “thank you.” The interviewer will feel more appreciated and see that you are a strong candidate. So don’t forget to give it a try! No interview invitation in the last 6 weeks? Let’s help you fix that CV and get you noticed. Email your CV to cv@oyk.co.ke with subject 'Revamp'.

Before You Resign From Your Current Job, Do THIS First! ✅ Step 1: Send this exact message to the HR/recruiter of your new company: "I have reviewed, signed, and accepted the employment offer. Please confirm if I may proceed with resigning from my current job." ✅ Step 2: Wait for their clear, written confirmation. Why this matters: ✔️ If they reply: “Yes, please proceed.” That’s a written acknowledgment that you’re resigning based on their confirmed offer. If the company withdraws the offer later, they may be legally obligated to compensate you (depends on your region’s laws). If they delay, avoid the question, or give vague responses? That’s a red flag. Do NOT resign. Protect your current job.. Your job is your livelihood. Move smart. Protect yourself.

Interview question: "Tell me about yourself?" Typical answers that interviewers get tired of hearing: ❌ "My name... My age... I live in..." ❌ "I love learning new things." ❌ "I am a hardworking & fast learner." What exactly do they want? 👉 They want to see who you are as a professional, not your life history. 👉 They want to understand what your strengths are and what makes you relevant for the role. 👉 They want to see clarity, confidence & direction. So how do you give smart, smooth and stand out answers? Use this formula. 👇 1) Start with your professional identity Not a name. Not age. Keep coming in with "who you are in the world of work." Example: "I'm a content strategist with experience in social media & data-driven marketing..." For the interviewer, clear picture in just 1 line. 2) Share 1–2 measurable achievements It's part of a lot of skipping. Achievement doesn't have to be bombastic. Enough something that shows impact. Example: “… In my old company, I managed the content calendar for 3 brands and managed to increase engagement by 40% in 4 months." 3) Connect with skills that are closely related to the job Pick 2–3 skills that the role really needs. Example: "Most of my work involves content planning, analytics & audience behaviour..." 4) Close with direction, where you want to go This is where you show alignment with the company. Example: “… That's why I'm looking for a role that can give exposure to bigger campaigns and teams that like to experiment." Example of a solid answer: "I am a content strategist who focuses on social media & data-driven campaigns. In my previous role, I managed several brands and managed to increase the engagement of one brand by 40% in four months through more strategic content mixing. Most of my work revolves around content planning, analytics and understanding audience behavior, things that I see as important for this role. Now I am looking for opportunities to scale up on bigger campaigns and contribute to an agile and creative team, which is why I am confident this position aligns with my career direction." The Biblical Man
The Biblical Man@Biblicalman·
My wife and I almost lost our marriage to a friendship. Not an affair. Not another man. Her best friend. It started small. A text here. A call there. "She just gets me." I didn't think anything of it. Until I noticed my wife told her things she didn't tell me. Hard days at work. Fears about the kids. Doubts about us. Her best friend got the real her. I got the tired version. The leftover version. The one who said "I'm fine" when I asked how she was. One night I found her crying on the phone. With her. Not me. I stood in the doorway. She didn't even notice. That's when I realized: I wasn't losing my wife to another man. I was losing her to a counterfeit intimacy that felt safer than me. No risk. No vulnerability. No covenant weight. Just comfort without cost. I sat her down the next morning. "I feel like I'm third in my own marriage." She got defensive at first. "She's just my friend. You're overreacting." But then I asked: "When's the last time you told me something before you told her?" Silence. She couldn't remember. Neither could I. We didn't fix it overnight. But we started. She stopped running to her phone when she was hurting. She came to me instead. Awkward at first. We'd forgotten how. Your wife doesn't need a best friend who "gets her." She needs a husband who pursues her. And brother… If she's running to someone else with her heart? Maybe it's because you stopped being safe enough to hold it. Your spouse should know you better than anyone on earth. If they don't, that's not their failure. It's your invitation. Go get your wife back. Not from another man. From the counterfeit comfort she's settled for. Because you stopped showing up.
