Commercial underground mining started in Tarkwa by the British Colonial Government in 1874. Goldfields have owned the mines since 1993. Yet, NDC in 2026, have deleted 22 original provisions and inserted a total of 31 new watered-down, diluted, undeterring , and less-efficacious provisions which are rather pleasing to and protective of foreign donors, international organizations, non governmental organizations as well as local cartels and clandestine avenues who are notorious for promoting, supporting, sponsoring, advocating for and advancing the LGBTQ agenda in Ghana.
