April 7 marks the International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. In 2019, I visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial in Rwanda, where I had the opportunity to pay my respects, and commemorate the loss of over one million lives, including Hutus who opposed the genocide. Today, we remember, reflect, raise awareness, and renew our commitment to peace, tolerance, and understanding.
