@Rainmaker1973 @BromptonBunch Cows are big and need lots of calories to power them. Cows eat grass and other things that are low in calories in the scheme of things. They need to graze all day long. They couldn't sit there for hours their stomachs wouldn't let them. Also railway health and safety is a thing

When I was young, having dinner on your own in an hotel meant being hit on by repulsive middle managers on a jolly. I stopped doing it. Too annoying & sometimes traumatic. Being an older woman is quite the gift.

So much has happened in the last five years and we have lost both Simon and John. Just sometimes I feel very alone without their larger than life presence..

Was feeling glum after the all the ghastliness on X yesterday, so I took Hobbes on a long, lazy walk. It was blustery & autumnal. I stopped at my favourite ‘witch’ tree, which usually cheers me up. Didn’t work. “But nothin’, no nothin’, can take away these blues…”

Husband phoned Drs as he has a chest infection. Receptionist said to go to local pharmacy as they can give him antibiotics. Goes to Tesco Pharmacy & told they aren’t allowed to give out antibiotics & needs to see the Dr. Do these people actually know what they are doing 🙀

My best friend left her husband of 3 years because she’s the one who’s been cooking and cleaning the house the whole time. She works the day shift and does all the household chores before her husband even gets home. Last week, she got home late because she had a doctor’s appointment (she’s pregnant), and when she walked in, this man didn’t even ask if she wanted dinner. He just made food for himself, ate right in front of her, and then started whining that she hadn’t prepared dinner and that he had to make it himself… People really show you in small ways that they don’t like you. Ladies please don't Marry men who hate you!
