They took the opportunity and held their meeting in the Bavarian alps (Wendelstein) with plenty of time to stargaze and enjoy nature. 🏔️ Many new ideas were born and we are starting the preparations for our five year anniversary meeting on the 21st November. 🥳 Stay tuned!

This *and* they're hosting their annual meeting in a country where LGBTQ+ people cannot safely attend, and people from many non-western countries are having their visas rejected ? Not a good look for @EAS_astro on the sustainability and diversity front 😕

We just sent a letter to the EAS president informing them about a mistake in their carbon account that allowed them to ignore 99% of their emissions (namely that of the EAS Annual Meeting).
