It’s alarming the Predator and Paedophilic ideologies many people have and are defending. Have sex ONLY with consenting adults!!! As a teacher or person in authority don’t have sex with your student or subordinates. It’s that simple!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

The problem is some of you do not realize that you are victim blaming under the guise of logic. Are you supposed to have sex with a student as a teacher? No. So why are you talking about the dressing/actions/words of students? Does that justify the act? No. From where to where?

You people do not understand the helplessness that comes with dealing with sexual harassment in Ghana. If you did, you won’t say what you are saying.

Even when they’re caught on camera, children still get blamed for initiating the act. We have actively encouraged pedophilia through the silencing of victims be it in the schools itself, religion and even in the family unit. At what point do you hold the adult accountable?

If we are saying the children call for it like some of you have been huffing and puffing about for two days, how about the innocent girls who get taken advantage of by teachers? How about the ones whose grades suffer because they refuse advances from their teachers??

It’s alarming how quickly people blame a child when an adult is involved. A minor is anyone below the legal age of adulthood. Society classifies minors separately because they are still developing and therefore require protection, guidance, and safeguarding. An adult has the responsibility. An adult has the power. An adult knows the consequences. So when your first instinct is to ask what the child did wrong, you’ve completely missed why child protection exists in the first place. Instead of asking why the child didn’t know better, we should be asking why the adult did what they did despite knowing better.

I’ve seen a lot of these takes, and it’s important to understand that beyond age, there’s also a power dynamic at play. A sexual relationship between a teacher and a student is wrong not only because of age, but because of the position of authority involved. Even in workplaces, relationships between people in unequal positions or even colleagues often violate policy for this very reason, because power can influence consent, decision-making, and consequences. This issue has so many layers, but we seem far more willing to scrutinize children or subordinates than the adults who hold the power and SHOULD KNOW BETTER. If we want to have a separate conversation about minors, consent laws, or sexual activity among young people, that’s fine. But for now, let’s not lose sight of a simple principle: those entrusted with authority have a greater responsibility to act appropriately.

This is why you people get arrested when you go abroad o. No matter the circumstances, a minor is a minor and they cannot consent to anything. Even if they make advances, you are the adult and you're expected to have common sense.

It’s really sad that on the issue of the teacher/ student inappropriate relationship people don’t realize that aside the age difference (minor), the power imbalance makes the relationship extremely inappropriate. the student won’t be able to say no without serious consequences

Before you scream not all students are minors. Google "Abuse of Power", "Abuse of Position of Trust", and "Protection of Educational Systems". A teacher has NO BUSINESS being sexually involved with their students!

Let it be recorded in Ghana's history that there was a time when a bunch of fools assembled to defend sexual predators. They argued that students can be sexual opportunities for teachers. They bent over backwards to excuse adults who prey on children and students!!! FOOLS!
