@JanelleWaz It’s a fun movie, well worth watching, if not to be taken at all seriously. The joke is referring to how ubiquitous the treacly Bryan Adams song from the soundtrack became. It was pretty unbearable.

Not being able to trust the polling data is making this election more frustrating than usual. Just flying blind like never before.

@Nintendork9 It’s an odd device… NES hardware with 2600 and 7800 games that were rewritten. Some of the ports are surprisingly good, others much less so. The sounds are typically way off, as the NES sound chip can’t really replicate those funky Atari tones. As a NES guy, you might dig it.

@IndieGamerChick One can always hope. In the meantime, it’s been nice to see Berzerk and Frenzy finally gets lots of love this past year since being sold to Atari. Hoping if companies don’t want to do anything with their games themselves, they might at least be willing to sell.

@IndieGamerChick It’s admittedly not a great model, but at least they keep the games out there. I weep for the arcade games by Sega ( ! ), Universal, Exidy, Cinematronics, and others that haven’t seen releases for forty years.

@rockmarooned I’m personally happy that they’re doing both. I do wish the carded figures were a bit nicer though - could really live without the big RETRO sticker, the fake aging, and the generic card backs. But still happy to get what we are getting.

One of the neatest things in current Star Wars toys is that they make new figures in the style of '70s/'80s stuff -- like what if General Grievous or the Acolyte gang had been around then. Naturally a chunk of the fandom hates this and wishes they'd just remake the old toys.

@Nintendork9 @theyorkshow I strongly remember playing Xybots when it was brand new. Great game, and a real glimpse at the 3D shooting fun that was to come in the near future. Surprisingly, the Lynx port of the game is also quite good.

@prchovanec Every President / Presidential candidate gets goofed on in this country. It’s an old, great, and important tradition.

@inthefade Undoubtedly Devin Townsend. Dude is about to release his 29th album (not counting his many live releases, bonus discs, and compilations of his earliest material.) Alice Cooper’s discography is also enormous, but haven’t collected all of it just yet.

Think about this. If there was no way to emulate video games there will be a huge shortage of physical retro games as all the good ones would be bought up so people could play. even the price of stadium events would go down since everyone would be buying Contra. Just a thought

E: Why would they show Star Wars during a school break? ME: Because Star Wars is kind of for kids. E: No it's not. It's for man-children like you.
