At the High-Level Conference on Social Rights in Chisinau, I invited states to consider three pledges: 1⃣Treat social needs and gaps as issues of human rights. 2⃣Connect the dot between standards across the Council of Europe, the UN, and the EU frameworks. 3⃣Go local to strengthen partnerships where they matter most. We must bridge the gap between policy and the lived experience of people. Two priority areas of attention should be the intersectionality of disadvantage and the unmet needs and rights of children.
