Due to potential severe weather, the Athens State University campus will close at 3 pm today (3/11/26), along with Athens State faculty, staff, & students at the ACA in Decatur. Classes will be held online. Students, please reach out to your instructors for more information.

Athens State University will resume normal operations on Tuesday, January 27. Please use your best judgment and caution as you travel to campus.

Campus will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26 due to potential hazardous road conditions. Classes that can meet virtually will do so. Students are encouraged to check their Canvas courses for communication from instructors. Conditions will be assessed regarding Tuesday’s operations.

The Athens State campus will be closed starting Friday, Jan. 23 at 4:30 pm through the weekend due to winter weather. All scheduled events are canceled. Monday operations to be determined on Sunday afternoon based on conditions.
