Grom begins. Putin states that nuclear weapons are a last resort tool for exceptional circumstances, that Russia is not interested in an arms race. He also adds that deterrence forces are critical, especially under current geopolitical climate. So fairly normal messaging.

A new PRIP is out so it now looks like Grom indeed is coming next week. They tend to go early in the period so my best bet, for now, would be on the 28th or 29th. Looks like there will be a SS-N-23 from NORFLT, ICBM from Plesetsk, poss Yars, +and PACFLT Bulava.

There are Sea of Okhotsk NOTAMs indicating Bulava SLBM firing towards Chiza, active between the 28th and November 3rd. This could be the first real indication for the timing of the annual strategic nuclear forces exercise Grom, but a regular test can't be ruled out yet.

I'm currently not on top of things and I'm not sure what to make of these NOTAMs in the Barents and around NZ yet either. This layout is not typical for Grom, nor for White Sea Bulava, but Kura is active and timings match. Another note: Burevestnik season is possibly completed
