@proofofmike @OGBTC On my runs ViaBTC kicked me after a couple blocks and then it was in a connect/disconnect loop. Probably due to lack of work submits or something, but it and F2Pool were at the top before the kicks started. Some pools kick pretty quick without work submits.

Shoutout to @OGBTC for the lightning-fast work on this. To note, @AtlasPool_io is in the process of server optimization so we’ll likely see the reigning champ back on top of the leaderboards shortly.

Weekend Project Live! stratumrace.com Based on a project started by @proofofmike Now you can easily see OBJECTIVELY what pools are lit and what pools are ... maybe not so good. Thanks to @karpuzmining for showing me the repo

@JerryWagoner If you go down this route, make sure to append a unique miner name per device to the wallet address. You can track individual miners in the AtlasPool dashboard too. wallet_address.minerA wallet_address.minerB and so forth. Good luck!

AtlasPool.io is purpose-built for high performance, low latency, and maximum uptime for the entire bitcoin solo mining community. Simply point your miners to solo.atlaspool.io and get automatically routed to the closest AtlasPool endpoint: - North America: Ashburn, VA (US) and Portland, OR (US) - South America: São Paulo (BR) - Europe: Frankfurt (DE) and London (UK) - Asia: Hong Kong (HK) and Mumbai (IN) - Australia: Sydney (AU) - Africa: Cape Town (ZA) The pool also supports IPv6, stratum over TLS, and a high-difficulty port for large hashrate rentals. Check us out!

@JerryWagoner Hi!. We don't currently offer group mining. Best I can suggest is that your family uses a common wallet (if that's something you all are comfortable with).

@AtlasPool_io Question for @AtlasPool_io : Was chatting with some family and we started thinking about whether it was possible to pool all our miners into a private pool where we could split the rewards of our mini pool hit a block. Do you support this?

@alwayscovered_ @karpuzmining @KarmaCpu @proofofmike Even with the distance penalty to AtlasPool, you likely will still receive block notifications much faster than from your local node. AtlasPool endpoints have many advantages over local nodes, including processing speed, internet connectivity, and healthy peering.

Like many, I always assumed my own local Bitcoin node would be the fastest. It wasn’t. In a joint collaborative effort with @AtlasPool_io and @proofofmike testing block notification speed across multiple pools, Atlas consistently beat my own node at getting fresh work to my miners after a new block was found. The fastest pool isn’t just about ping. It’s about how quickly it receives the block, builds a new template, and distributes new work. Those milliseconds are time your asic is either mining, or wasting hashes. I have *always* preached that your own node is *always* the best option, and I still believe that every Bitcoiner should run one. But the battle between all publicly available pools has been won. @AtlasPool_io and @Parasite_wtf are the clear winners.

@Dezaxe @karpuzmining @proofofmike To be super clear, Ckpool is the OG pool and also blazing fast. And AtlasPool uses CK’s awesome code under the hood. Our deployment and website strategies and fees are different. Users can decide what is best for them. But CK himself is awesome.

Haha, nice cherry picking of three blocks. Please publish your analysis of the past 100 or 250 or 500 blocks. I’ll wait. You are so odd. You invite me to chat via DM. I reached out to you to work with you. And then you don’t respond and write this post. I can’t waste my time on you anymore. I thought your interest in learning and working together was genuine. Shame on me.

Matt from @AtlasPool_io has deployed the largest and best-performing solo pool infrastructure on planet earth. It’s a shame to see negative remarks about the use of AWS as opposed to Matt setting up physical locations with his own physical servers on every continent at the outset. AWS made it possible for a new pool, which has generated zero revenue for its creator so far, to become the most reliable option that exists in very short order. So it bums me out when guys invest their time, talents, and resources into creating things to benefit the community as a whole, and others tear them down for it not quite meeting their golden standards. My entire fleet is pointed at @AtlasPool_io today. Keep up the great work, Matt. 🌎⛏️

1/ Funny how you criticized me for a 1.5% fee without disclosing that you received money to operate public pool. So lame and hypocritical. Show the receipt of the exact amount. Have you received money from any other org to operate PP? 2/ you need not have little spies (I know who they are) take screen captures from the AtlasPool discord. You are welcome to join too. Or are you already there under a burner account? 3/ the web site itself is not open sourced. The front end has nothing to do with the mining mechanism. But I have published some tools and scripts to help people verify pools and test pool latency. The same scripts were used to identify some scam mining pools that I shared with the community. The shame of all of this is that I really tried to work with you in the beginning. I appreciated what you had built and done for the community. But you ghosted me very early on and refused to engage at all on the topic of pool performance, uptime, etc. And here we are. It kind of sucks.

It's *partially* open source (the part you didn't do). The last time that repo was committed to was 6 months ago. Where are these fixes? Where is the front end? What about deployment configs? Lamo $50k - it paid for two new UPS, a used 1U server and a few years of internet. Stop listening to people who literally pull these numbers out of their ass for grift.

@karpuzmining @AtlasPool_io @proofofmike Look ma! I'm on the list! 💪 And not too shabby for a hobby pool... Great insights into how pools perform from users' perspectives. Not every pool is best for every user (except for Atlas apparently). Your own node is closest to your miner but not always closest to the network.

You are wrong. AtlasPool is not closed source. AtlasPool uses ckpool for its stratum server implementation. All code is available at github.com/atlaspool/ckpo… for past six months. A 1.5% fee is a small price to pay for this globally distributed, highly performant pool? I do not have the luxury of having received $50K+ from the Human Rights Foundation to operate my pool. How much exactly did you receive? Care to share the details? You recently boasted that you operate Public Pool out of your basement on "e-waste." How does that align with the HRF's stated expectations of "hardware upgrades?" I'd be happy to offer AtlasPool with no fees if HRF paid me $50k or more to operate the pool...

I'm sorry your favorite closed source centralized (the part he did) pool was unable to strong-arm their fees into the base of an open source project by bashing open source/sovereign pool development. Open source is a low bar, not a 'golden standard'. If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

@bitcornpleb Thanks for sharing data (although it didn't properly show up here). From where did you test? I've only tuned the Ashburn USA endpoint so far. I plan to tune the remaining eight endpoints in the coming days. Would love for you to try again after that work is complete!

We spent three weeks tuning our Ashburn endpoint for lightning fast block notification speed. The results: • Won more notification races than any other measured solo pool (499 blocks measured) • Delivered complete templates faster than F2Pool, MARA, and every other pool observed • Beat a local Umbrel node 84% of the time from 1000+ km away Full writeup with data, methodology, and tools so you can verify it yourself! atlaspool.io/resources/arti…
