I can still specifically remember days about a decade ago where I wanted to go full Office Space on my Antminers. That has yet to happen with my Axes, so I’d say we’re moving in the right direction. ⛏️

How did ChatGPT get this bad at so many things? Precision edits are a disaster, code gets bloated, tone control is all over the place. I can’t remember a product in recent memory that has nosedived this hard. Flip side is Claude and Grok burn through usage so fast. When I’m working, I want to work, not get 15 minutes in and have to come back hours later. At this point maybe I should just go back to a stack of O’Reilly books.

This. Even large, established pools have had blocks rejected over the years due to software, config, or integration issues. If it can happen to teams with dedicated engineers, it can happen to independent operators and people running home stacks too. Test and verify.

What was your first Bitcoin miner? Mine was an Antminer S9. A friend gave it to me to learn the ropes. No big plans, just tinkering in the garage to figure out how everything actually worked. I never used an ASIC before, I only mined ETH with GPUs prior to that. (Dont hate 😆 ) I taught myself how to wire up my own electrical panel, added the proper breakers and wiring I needed, and slowly got everything dialed in safely. Once I was confident, I waited for the S19 series to drop and scaled up with them as they came out, I was hearing about issues with the s17 series at that time. I started with the basic S19s and eventually moved up to the S19 XPs. It was messy, expensive, but honestly a total blast. Stacking sats every day. I’ve blown breakers, transformers, and PSUs. I bought my parts from @altair_tech before i started working here. I’ve killed fans and hashboards too! I'm pretty sure that’s just a rite of passage for every home miner. If you haven’t smoked something expensive yet, you’re probably still new 😂 I’ve learned a ton over the years and I’m still learning every day from the community and others in the industry. Here’s the only old picture I have from then I had 2 of these racks of s19s 12 ASIC in total. Heat and noise where my largest issues of course being in residential neighborhood. I solved that initially with shrouds from @CryptoCloaks with inline fans but eventually had to put a larger intake & exhaust fans on each side of the garage. It was messy, expensive, but honestly a total blast. Im still stacking till this day! Keep building, keep stacking sats!
