I am on the younger side of millennials but did the math out of curiosity. First job out of college = $60k in 2026 dollars, first apartment out of college = $1500 in 2026 dollars. Studio in Redondo Beach. Not a luxury building but did have a gym and pool. Pretty safe convenient neighborhood. I don't think anything like that exists at that price point in L.A. nowadays.
