As part of my ongoing mid-life crisis, I have recently gotten back into mountain biking. I say got back into, it’s been 30 years 😂 Kids these days don’t know how fucking good they have it with the quality of pump tracks and trails around Wellington.

@AaronPinkham Yeah - my BIL grew up riding around Nelson. Sounds like a good excuse to take the ferry over for Xmas this year instead of flying. Would be a shame to leave the bike here.

@jv_nz I hate shoulder day with a passion. Even more than leg day. Cricket gave me the gift of shit rotator cuffs, so I spend almost as much time warming them up as I do working them out these days 😂

Anyway, I’ve developed tendonitis in my elbow from death gripping the bars in those drops, just in case you wondered how mid-life this mid-life crisis really is 😂

Best part - it’s all free to use. Man, there are two schools with a few km of my house that have their own pump tracks. And that new one out in Whitby is a fucking masterpiece.
