Last Friday, I presented a case report on “Neurofibromatosis type 1” at the Association of Surgeons of Uganda (ASOU) Annual surgical scientific conference 2026. This case adds to the limited literature on massive limb-plexiform neurofibroma in Sub-Saharan Africa #ASOU #surgery

Godfrey’s KIU story began with a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, a stepping stone that quickly turned into a lifelong commitment to healing. “I was elected faculty president of Allied Health Sciences during my diploma,” he recalls, and that role taught him how to lead with humility and service. His early involvement in St. Luke’s Chapel as a missions coordinator deepened his spiritual life and laid the foundation for the compassionate care he would later bring to patients.
