There are lot of opportunities for me to perform, so I have a lot to memorize; but since I’m an athlete, I managed to handle that just fine." On the Olympics and Worlds: "Of course, there were many good and enjoyable parts of the Olympics; but when it comes to big, important moments, you inevitably get cornered and nervous; and I think that's where I felt some regret, I was frustrated that I couldn't pull off my free program. But I was able to perform a free program at the World Championships that I felt was even better than I had imagined, so I'm really glad about that. At the World Championships, rather than trying to perform, I think I was able to express what I felt naturally. The moment I finished my jump, I was so happy—I don’t usually do victory poses during a performance, but I really went all out and just did that. I was really excited, and that moment was like a dream, it was the best, and I don't think I'll ever experience anything better than that again. Looking back on my long skating career, I would say it was the greatest highlight." Looking forward: "Right now I'm not confident I can show you what I'll be like in four years, but for now I'm going to face myself year by year, move forward, discover various possibilities.
