If I'm understanding it right, the #Bears should free up $10 million in cap space with Drew Dalman's retirement. They're no longer on the hook for his base salary, but Dalman will still receiving his bonuses.

Hey, so this isn’t a post I thought I’d have to make this year but here I go. Wednesday night my dad passed away due to a bad fall that happened a little over a week ago with head trauma/damage, coupled with some underlying health issues. Obviously my family and I are going through it and I’m still having trouble fully processing it, but I’ve just been taking each day as it comes. My dad was/is such a role model to me and it’s hard to think that I won’t be able to see him again. I will however count myself lucky that I had a dad like him, and was able to enjoy having him around for as long as I did. I’ll be sad, grieve, and cry…but I’m also gonna do my best to cherish the memories myself and my family have of him. I love you so much dad, and I’m going to miss you. I know you were proud of me, but I’m gonna continue to do my best to make you proud of the man I am today, but also who I’ll still become.
