@BashirAhmaad You really went ahead to consult Grok, fully aware it could spotlight the INEC Chairman… and still got an answer you can’t even dispute. At this point, what exactly were you hoping for?

I have been a registered member of the APC since 2014 and over the years, I have served in various capacities, including as a member of committees for the party’s National Convention and the Presidential Campaign Council. Since 2017, I have also voluntarily contributed as part of the party’s strategic media team.
It is therefore quite surprising that some individuals, who never even identified with the party until after the 2023 general election, during which I served as deputy chairman of the Social Media and Special Operations Committee of the Presidential Campaign Council, would now question my loyalty to the APC. Hilarious!
When I joined the APC in 2014, no one persuaded me to do so. I joined the party out of my personal conviction, because I believed in the party’s ideals and direction. That conviction remains unchanged and it is the reason I have consistently given my best in every role I have been entrusted with. So I do not see or believe any individual has the power to alter that commitment.
If my membership of the APC had been tied to any individual, I would have long left the party. I am a committed APC member and I will continue to support the party to the best of my ability. I will campaign for President Tinubu, Gov. Abba Yusuf and any leader I am convinced is genuinely working for the good of the people.

@inecnigeria Interesting clarification- though when “independent circulation” and “amplification” end up looking identical to what was already out there, you can understand why people might question the distinction.
English

REBUTTAL:
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not copy its recent press statement from any third party.
Any circulation of the statement outside the Commission’s official channels was done independently and not coordinated by INEC.
The publication by Peoples Gazette titled “Nigerians react as INEC reposts Tinubu aide’s message” is fake, misleading, and a misrepresentation of facts. gazettengr.com/nigerians-reac…
INEC’s repost of the statement was solely to amplify accurate information earlier released from the Commission and should not be misconstrued as alignment with any individual or political office holder.
The Commission remains strictly non-partisan and urges the public to disregard misleading interpretations of its actions.

WHY AMUPITAN MUST RESIGN NOW.
The recent revelation linking a pro-Bola Ahmed Tinubu tweet of 2023 to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Amupitan, is not merely disturbing, it is a grave affront to the integrity of our electoral system.
In a democracy, the umpire must be above suspicion. He must not only be independent, he must be seen, beyond any reasonable doubt, to be independent. That is the minimum standard required of anyone entrusted with the sacred duty of conducting free and fair elections.
However, more troubling is the desperate attempt to tamper with digital records, to erase evidence of his previous partisanship.
This is not a trivial matter. It is a calculated assault on truth and accountability.
A man who manipulates records to save himself cannot be trusted to safeguard the mandate of millions.
Over the past few days, it has been repeatedly revealed that Professor Amupitan, by his conduct, his utterances, and now by incontrovertible digital evidence, has fallen far below the standard expected of an electoral umpire. The referee cannot be running around in the shirt of one of the teams he’s supposed to officiate in a match.
This is why Professor Amupitan must resign.
Now. Anything less is an insult to the Nigerian people and a dangerous precedent for our democracy. Relying on this evidence, ADC will be updating our petitions to all relevant institutions, including to foreign governments and the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA.
We will also renew and escalate our civil disobedience action until the INEC Chairman leaves office.

Wait. Isn’t it obvious that @Grok doesn’t have access to people’s private information like phone numbers or email addresses? And even if it did, we all know it is against X’s policies for Grok to disclose such sensitive personal data to the public.
English

@BashirAhmaad It’s interesting how confidently some people project intelligence, even when their reasoning suggests otherwise. But then again, self-deception can be quite convincing.
English

Hi @Grok, for sake of transparency, what the original name of the X account with ID: 1567086242164101120 was when it was created in September 2022, before it was later changed to joashamupitan in November 2025?
English

JUST IMAGINE THIS:
The INEC chairman tried to deny that the account @joashamupitan belonged to him.
However Grok investigation has shown that the email used to open the account is also the exact email on the official CV of the INEC chairman.
This is really a big national shame.
In sane countries, this is grounds for resignation and public embarrassment.

@OurFavOnlineDoc @joashamupitan Today’s generation tends to question information more critically and is less inclined to accept narratives without scrutiny.

INEC: Amupitan does not own an X account, has never engaged in partisan commentary
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has dismissed claims circulating on social media that Joash Amupitan, its chairman, owns a personal account on X.
Recently, claims circulated online alleging that Amupitan operated a personal account on X and had used it to endorse or interact with a partisan post.
Details in comment section.

PRESS STATEMENT
INEC CHAIRMAN HAS NO ACCOUNT ON X, DISREGARD PARTISAN FABRICATIONS
The attention of the Office of the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been drawn to a malicious and coordinated campaign of calumny circulating on social media. The false claim alleges that the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, has, in the past, endorsed a partisan post on the platform X (formerly Twitter).
The Commission wishes to state categorically that this allegation is entirely baseless, a total fabrication, and a figment of the imagination of its purveyors. For the avoidance of doubt, the INEC Chairman does not own or operate any personal account on X. He has at no time engaged in partisan commentary, nor has he ever associated himself with any political leaning or activity in his private or public capacity.
This contrived X post is a desperate attempt to impugn the integrity and neutrality of the Chairman at a critical period when the Commission is focused on significant electoral reforms and preparations for upcoming polls. It is a needless distraction designed to stir public distrust in the electoral umpire.
Beyond this partisan mischief, the Commission is aware that cybercriminals have been on the prowl, utilising fake social media accounts in the Chairman’s name to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians. We wish to place it on record that several of such fraudulent accounts had been identified and reported to security agencies in the past. This latest fabrication is merely a continuation of a criminal pattern aimed at exploiting the Commission’s profile for illicit gains.
The Commission will not fold its arms while the character of its leadership is being assassinated by digital imposters and mischief-makers. We wish to notify the public that we are working in close collaboration with relevant security agencies and cyber-intelligence units to track and identify the individuals or groups behind this identity theft and misinformation.
Let it be clearly understood that the Commission will ensure that these imposters face the full wrath of the law. Identity theft and the dissemination of deepfake or forged social media interactions are criminal offenses under the Cybercrimes Act. Those responsible for this mischief will be tracked and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others who believe the digital space is a safe haven for criminality.
The general public is hereby urged to disregard this falsehood in its entirety. We will continue to disseminate official information regarding the Commission and the Chairman’s activities only through our verified institutional channels and formal press statements.
The Commission remains undeterred and fully committed to its mandate of delivering free, fair, and credible elections for all Nigerians.

Peter Obi doesn’t just take his health seriously, he embodies discipline in every sense.
As a Papal Knight, one of the highest honours in the Catholic Church, he remains deeply devoted to his faith, even joining Mass from wherever he is, even the gym.
Beyond that, he stays connected to the people, engaging warmly with young Nigerian workers around him, his cheerful presence reflecting both humility and purpose.

6 TIMES (AND COUNTING)
Since May 2023, President Bola Tinubu has turned “never again” into a template response to insecurity and killings of Nigerians .
Every massacre under his watch. Every abduction under his failed leadership. Same script. Same lines. Same outcome.
Dec 26, 2023 — Plateau
“Envoys of death will not escape. We will resolve this.”
Apr 5, 2025 — Plateau/Kwara
“Enough is enough.”
Jun 16, 2025 — Benue
“Enough is now enough. This must not continue.”
Nov 20, 2025 — Kebbi
“This should not happen again.”
Mar 31, 2026 — Plateau/Kaduna
“Enough is enough. Smash criminals in real-time.”
Apr 1–2, 2026 — Plateau
“This will not repeat itself.”
Six different tragedies. Six presidential promises.
Six presidential failures. Zero presidential results.
And then Easter came.
Apr 5–6, 2026 — Kaduna. Borno. Plateau. Benue.
Church attacked. Villages raided. Security forces ambushed. Families buried.
At this point, hearing “enough is enough” is no longer a statement of reassurance, it is a declaration of helplessness and surrender.
We cannot continue like this.
Nigeria needs a real Commander-in-Chief, not a Chief Mourner.

RCCG is less than a cult. They are the religious wing of the APC. They vote for bad leaders, then they start to disturb my Jehovah Jireh.
Pastor Johnson Suleman said everything 👏👏
iDAN 🦸🏽@dangbanamanager
If you’re attending RCCG, understand this, you’re basically a disciple of APC. Time to find a truly God-fearing church.
