@OBEhizele @TundeMusaED I agree. My biggest question is how do we move away from the racism centred? Music can be a starting point, but things like our values on education, wealth creation, etc...is still largely shaped by parents (or parents' heritage)

@TundeMusaED I think black Britons must feel comfortable forming their own identity which reflects their own unique experiences (immigrant household). My concern is that this is largely being centred on racism right now but music (Jungle, Grime etc) are unique cultural inheritances.

This will hurt many but it's not a lie. A take grounded in reality. At best, you are a hybrid. Obviously, you can identify anyhow you want. The thing is Black British is a racial not ethnic identity and isn't quite tangible at this moment - still forming I suppose. 1/2

@OBEhizele @TundeMusaED I may add unto this well explained point that even the English language carries different cultural references. For example, in Britain, we understand,'You alright?' as a greeting, the same way in Nigeria they understand 'how far?' to be the same

@TundeMusaED It goes beyond simply understand and speaking Yoruba. Do you understand the proverbs/spirituality engrained into the language. I never really grasped this living amongst the Nigerian diaspora in the UK.

@petitetweeter_ Yep! This matter has truly revealed a lot of people's character, both online and offline. At least with some people you get an idea of how they'll 'feel' about you depending on where you land on the wealth ladder in comparison to them. We already know this, seeing it however...

@petitetweeter_ What I also find fascinating whenever there's a "tragedy" in the west (if I can put that way) - this is when I see a number of 'whataboutism' on other tragedies around the world. To me it comes across as moral performance as opposed to a genuine care for those other tragedies.

@_tommatty I don’t know boxing very so can anyone explain why when she shadowboxes she opens her first up rather than clench? It looks really weird but for all I know it’s the proper way to do it.

A black British boxing film with a soundtrack from this country would be mad. Can't believe there's been none yet.

A part of me wants Ryan Coogler to direct Black Panther 3 and a part of me doesn't, unless it's a good 4+ years away. Making a film is hard. Making a film where you had to re-write the script after the lead actor passed sounds unbearable. They need to give him some time away.

19. Compound interest is amazing. It works for money, but it also works for skills and habits. The cliches are true. Every time you do something beneficial, it becomes a little easier to do it the next time. Every action is like a vote for the kind of person you want to be.

I’m looking to open my own indie film studio in Atlanta. I have saved a lot to invest into this dream. Send all the positive prayers and love this way and follow @mysticroadfilms to keep updated. ☺️🎬
