SB 104 helps make the Wildlife Commission less political & ensures wildlife management decisions are based on the best available science, without fear of political retaliation. A transparent removal process for Commissioners was the last piece of the puzzle to modernize the dept.

SB 104, creating a removal process for Wildlife Commissioners and completing the NM Game and Fish Department modernization work, is now law! Last year we helped pass SB 5, which updated hunting & fishing license fees, changed the name of the dept, & clarified the dept's authority

Hardy, beautiful, and good at attracting hummingbirds and other wildlife, chuparosa is a mainstay of most xeric gardens. Read from @AudubonSW why hummingbirds and gardeners alike love this wildflower: bit.ly/3ISNXnn

We appreciate @RepCiscomani & @RepJoeNeguse spearheading the Colorado River Caucus in the US House of Representatives. We need collaboration to manage the Colorado River after 2026 & investment in our watersheds to boost the resilience of our water supplies.
Congressman Juan Ciscomani@RepCiscomani

🚨 TODAY: I’m proud to announce the relaunch of the Colorado River Caucus in the 119th Congress with co-chair @RepJoeNeguse, bringing together the seven Western Basin States to protect the river and secure a strong water future for all 🌊🤝
