@Mad_1nventor This is why we used to educate our kids on crossing busy roads. We installed dedicated crossings. We also advised pedestrians to wear colourful clothing and reflective clothing during dark times. Seems that Parental negligence may be at foot...

The first rule of Dunning Kruger club is that you don’t know you’ve joined Dunning Kruger club :) I’m spending almost all of my time on Threads these days as a result.

In order to reduce carbon output by a net 1/8th, we need to double rail freight (to get to 80/20). In conclusion, this whole idea is a climate change denier’s wet dream that wasn’t really even worth debunking.

@DannyKodicek @mike_bidde60926 @MatthewStadlen @DavidGHFrost Finally, it is based on a totally false premise, as is the moron Frost’s original point: HS2 is not about individual’s transit times. HS2 is about segregating high and low speed rail so that we can get high speed freight on the network, with a commensurate drop in road freight.

We overpaid for some long forgotten reason and they are “tidying up customer accounts” and didn’t want to write us off as a creditor (which they could easily have done) and keep the cash. Brilliant. Nice people.

I’ve just got a cheque for nearly 100 quid from a company called Certas Energy for the oil I bought from them a decade ago.
