The US banned Hawaiian language, overthrew our country, let us die in Maui fires, devastated our universal healthcare, & illegally occupies Hawaii to this day. My mother's hands were broken for speaking Hawaiian in school. The US is not a beacon, but the destroyer of independence

It was my junior year in APUSH when I learned the truth about the fruit Dole company and how Hawaii lost Queen Liliuokalani to fruit tycoons Sanford and James Dole. They led a coup against her. Even down to a fruit company, this country is evil.

North Korea claims that the US soldier Travis King who crossed over into their country, was unhappy with racial discrimination in the Army and America's 'unequal society'. He wants to stay over there.

Around 1865, an Egyptian street vendor was captured in a photograph while selling mummies for huge money. During the 1800s, the mummy sale business in Egypt was a booming trade, fueled by the Western world's fascination with ancient Egypt and its artifacts. Egyptomania, or the obsession with all things Egyptian, had a significant impact on European culture, art, and fashion. The growing interest in Egyptology led many wealthy Europeans and Americans to collect Egyptian antiquities, including mummies, as exotic curiosities and status symbols. As a result, a thriving black market for mummies and other ancient artifacts emerged in Egypt. Locals would rob tombs and sell the mummies to eager collectors. Often, mummies were also ground into powder and sold as "mummia," a substance believed to have medicinal properties. The mummy sale business was so lucrative that sometimes fake mummies were created to meet demand. #Africa

Around the 12th Century, Europeans had been eating Egyptian mummies as medicine. The mummified remains of many of the Black indigenous Kemetyu were eaten by Europeans because they believed it could give them both healing and enhanced powers. Many of the black mummies were an ingredient used in medicine in Europe, mummies remains were ground into powder and consumed with chocolate or alcohol. This practice continued well into the early 20th century, with the last documented sale of "medical mummy powder" in 1908. #Africa

Interesting data. Why are Black immigrant homes doing better financially than Black American homes? I’m curious. 🇺🇸

@Auguswonders Yes it was possible for Japanese goods to reach Benin pre-European contact. But it would have to pass through China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Persia, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Libya, Kanem, Kano, Zazzau, Nupe, Igalla before Benin.

Black Japanese Generals celebrating their victory over Russia in 1907. They are of Ainu ancestry. The Ainu were of African descent who migrated and settled in ancient Japan. You may have read in history about Japan defeating Russia in a brilliant naval / military campaign at Port Arthur. Well, here they are.

@elonmessedup @bugimane @NobleNegroe @SouConVo_ Understanding one’s history is larping or that you don’t keep up with Historical findings. Still calling it Egypt when they didn’t refer to themselves as that, is something.

@JohnofPH @edoheart @racism_no2 When you aren’t keen on the spelling and how a word is pronounced then linguistics of it makes sense. But Japan does have some words but asia and Adria was doing trade long before colonialism
