peoples feelings are not always your responsibility. esp if you’ve done everything to communicate & explain your reasoning for your behavior. just because they don’t like it, doesn’t mean you’re inherently wrong & they are right. sometimes people reach an impasse & that’s okay.

be careful holding your friends opinion to a standard that’s higher than yours. that’s a slippery slope. even if you believe they have your best interest in mind. nothing beats developing your own sense of self-awareness & self-concept. they don’t know you like you know you.

it’s understandable that you need your “me” time but please understand, there is an amount of isolation you can take that pushes people away. not everyone that you value and want in your life will be here when you come back months later. especially if they were close to you.
