Our history began with me as a programming professor and Dio as a humble student, many years ago. I still remember how he would stay after class, eager to discuss programming challenges, often surprising me with his unique perspectives and questions. What started as a simple professor-student relationship quickly grew into a deep brotherly bond between two people who shared a passion for technology and life. I was fortunate to help Dio land his first job as a programmer. From that point on, Dio skyrocketed. He became the best and most productive programmer on the team, always exceeding expectations with his brilliance and dedication. He studied tirelessly, driven by his insatiable curiosity and razor-sharp intellect. But what truly set Dio apart was his heart. A few years later, he invited me to be his partner, a gesture that profoundly moved me. it was a testament to the deep trust and mutual respect we had built. That invitation solidified our bond and changed the course of my life, both personally and professionally. Let me emphasize what @marcelcfassis told me today early: Dio could have easily started his own company—he had the talent, the vision, and the drive. But that wasn’t his dream. His dream was to lift himself from poverty to prosperity, but not alone. He wanted to bring his best friends and loved ones along on the journey, giving without expecting anything in return. That was the essence of Dio: a man who dreamed not only for himself but for everyone around him. A man who believed in building a better world through ideas, dreams, and the legacy he would leave behind.
