The US lethal injection procedure involves the administration of three drugs: A sedative to make you fall asleep, a muscle relaxant that keeps you from moving or twitching, and then potassium chloride, which destroys the heart, causing a quick death. If the potassium chloride does not work properly the muscle relaxant paralyzes the respiratory muscles, causing you to die either of asphyxia or of a heart attack brought on by struggling to breathe as the respiratory muscles enter paralysis. When a condemned inmate dies from the muscle relaxant rather than the potassium, it is considered a botched execution. However, the Canadian MAID euthanasia procedure involves only the administration of the first two lethal injection drugs -- dying of asphyxia due to respiratory muscle paralysis is the intended result of the protocol. The US has performed lethal injections on fewer than 150 condemned killers since 2020. Canada has euthanized as many as 80,000 people in the same period.

This is what proper warfare looks like btw

Such a scam that right wingers have suddenly switched to 'profit margins' when discussing supermarkets, because its far easier to say 'oh poor Tesco is scraping by on a 2% profit margin' rather than consider whether Tesco making £3bn a year while people starve is good
