🔥Hazen Fire Update May 3 @ 4:45pm: 4 SEATs (Single Engine Air Tankers) have been ordered to support suppression efforts on spot fires. They are not being utilized for the main body of fire at this time. The SEATs will fly in pairs, dropping BlazeTamer on the first drop only. After that, they will carry loads of water as needed by the incident. BlazeTamer is classified as a water enhancer and is used as a suppressant, not a retardant. It is designed for direct attack on active fire. When mixed with water, BlazeTamer helps improve water’s effectiveness by reducing surface tension of the vegetation it is being dropped on. Compared with traditional long-term retardants, water enhancers like BlazeTamer are intended to provide effective fire suppression with a lower environmental footprint when used appropriately and in accordance with agency guidelines. As with all aerial suppression tools, BlazeTamer supports, but does not replace, firefighters on the ground. #AZFire #AZForestry #MaricopaCounty

Statement regarding doorbell surveillance footage in the Nancy Guthrie Investigation -

Hey look, another ethical way to report information without potentially ruining someone’s life if they aren’t charged with a crime. This is the RIGHT WAY!

The DNA from the gloves found 2 miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home did not trigger a CODIS match AND did not match DNA found at the property per the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

JUST IN: I asked the FBI if their agency agrees with and can confirm PCSD’s elimination of the Guthrie family (including siblings and spouses) as suspects in Nancy’s abduction. Attributable to an FBI spokesperson: “The FBI doesn’t have anything to add to that.”

As a journalist…who had to take several legal classes to get their degree…posting random pictures of people and accusing them of a major crime WILL get you sued.

@nebraskanicole1 @PimaSheriff @azfamily They blocked off the road last night a good few hundred feet. We could not see anything from where we were standing. In transparency, I understand it because they want to protect the integrity of this investigation. @azfamily

Let’s clear up some misinformation on the Nancy Guthrie case. I have seen a TON of reporting from people with information that is completely unconfirmed & untrue: Thread: I will provide the latest updates from @PimaSheriff Chris Nanos. This was as of 10:11 a.m. @azfamily ⬇️

@shockbride @PimaSheriff @azfamily Correct I was on scene last night for hours. PCSD did plan a media staging area. The PIO informed us a statement would be coming. We were then told no press conference. They did not release a statement - only directed us to the FBI. @azfamily

@AustinCWalker @PimaSheriff @azfamily An important note: PCSD put out location for media to stage. Then short time later stated no media brief will happen, but a statement would be forthcoming. Then short time later, said no statement coming at request on FBI. PCSD is ADDING to this circus. Trust is lost.

(4) (Cont.)… The leads start at the command post and move to the field as needed, so that is a reason we're seeing activity build up as the day goes on that can ultimately lead to a search warrant looking for Nancy and any suspect involved. @azfamily

(3) -Nanos says like after Rio Rico, we should expect more of these types of events as investigators work through all leads. Says that every day moving forward there will be a lot of police activity. As to what level of activity, that is dependent on what lead…. @azfamily

(2) -Number of people detained: Anyone at the residence was technically "detained" since it is standard procedure to give investigators the freedom to conduct their search.  Nanos wasn't at scene & doesn't know exact number. No sign of Nancy was found at the residence. @azfamily

(1) Per Sheriff Nanos: -At the leave scene last night - the was nothing of a shooting or suicide.   -A traffic stop was made on a person of interest. The individual was cooperative and later released. @azfamily
