@jaybarron24 @UrbanEastNash Recorded a terrible album in there in 2002 (we were terrible, not Tommy 😂)

I normally handle vaccines well, but this first dose of Shingrex hit me like a truck. I promised @hlhiii that I’d be fully vaxxed by my next annual physical, so I’ll just lying on the couch under this pile of bricks for the next day or so. (And do it again in two months.)

October has been a great month of celebrating my 25 years at @NC5 - starting with our fabulous morning team. 1/

@twrobinette I hear these stories so often - it’s almost like the non-Tesla chargers are incentivized to offer a terrible experience 🤔
English

I just watched a woman try to charge her Mach-E for 20 minutes unsuccessfully at an EVGo charger. She ended up leaving to go to another charge location out of frustration. My colleague and I tried to help her and couldn’t get it to work either.
This location had one stall that was completely out of order and one stall where the payment terminal wasn’t working (out of a total of four stalls).
After fumbling around the clunky UI, the woman first tried to pay via credit card on the post - it didn’t work.
Then, she tried to signup for the app - it gave her errors and took 5+ minutes to get past the signup flow.
Then, she tried to setup Autocharge since EVGo pushes you towards that option when you first signup. She spent several minutes trying to scan her VIN only to have it not work.
She finally tried to add a payment method to the app to activate the charger for her current session - it didn’t work.
I couldn’t even get past the signup flow as EVGo wouldn’t validate my phone number to let me finish creating my account.
Non-Tesla EVs will benefit SO much from the transition to the North American Charging Standard and access to Superchargers 🔋⚡️
This will be critical in the effort towards mass adoption of EVs. I take for granted how amazing the Supercharger network is and how critical it is to have access to a good charging network.
Nobody will want an EV if they have experiences similar to the one I just witnessed.
Thankful for all the hard work the @TeslaCharging team has done to make Supercharging seamless and reliable.

@DrKnowItAll16 Waiting for CT (me) and Juniper Y (wife). We want the cars we want - plan to drive those long-term, and will figure out FSD for better or worse!

The front page of tomorrow's @dailytarheel –
I shed many tears while typing up these heart-wrenching text messages sent and received by UNC students yesterday. Our campus was on lockdown for more than three hours.
Beyond proud of this cover and the team behind it.

@KettlebellLife @AthleticBrewing Athletic has solved NA beer where others have failed. Lite and Big Wave Hazy IPA are staples. Untitled Art Italian Pilsner is the other great one - a masterpiece. Brewed in WI and we get it here in TN. Finder here: drinkuntitled.com

Free ad for @AthleticBrewing cause I love their products so much. As someone who used to drink a lot of beer until deciding that it just wasn't working for me (could do a whole post on that alone), it's critical to have my garage fridge stocked with healthy alternatives. Enter Athletic Light which has only 5g carbs, zero alcohol, and actually tastes good. Anyone who read this far and is still drinking alcohol, this is a sign from the universe to stop. It will be one of the best decisions you've made, guarantee it.

@SawyerMerritt There’s a typo in there it should say Sept 30, 2024.

Tesla has finally released all the info about free FSD transfers in Q3.

@TESLA_winston That is great sleuthing. Just saw another user post about tracking people down through white pages premium app, fyi. I’m going to try it out.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS:
As many of you may know, I purchased a wrecked Tesla for my dad. This is the second one I have rebuilt. I had wanted to get in contact with the owner and hear the story but I was unsuccessful. I had his home address and name, but I couldn't get his phone number.
I was playing around with the car today and loaded the Netflix app on the Model 3. To my surprise he was logged in. I didn't think much about it, but later, I went back to the car and added 3 profiles to Netflix account named:
Call me - (Phone number) - I have your Tesla.
Later that night he called me!!
He told me the full story:
It was his wife's first time driving their Model 3. She was sitting in a parking lot about 10 feet from a power pole.
Not realizing the car was in drive, his wife pressed the accelerator and drove the car into the pole.
He said his wife was going very slowly and that explains the airbags not going off. She walked away fine!
Insurance wrote the car off because it was going to cost a lot to repair and there were no body shops in his area.
He also told me he had just bought brand new all season tires months before the accident.😏
Anyway, Netflix for the win. 😂

@bebobestcat I hate to say, I’ve tried Murphy, Bowling and more and it’s horrible at any crossing (except early weekend mornings) and I personally would not take my young child at any other time, even as a confident rider on an e bike.
English

@ryandbusse I did not know they were there and drove past them 3 weeks ago. It’s a sight to behold!
English

@ChrisWillx And they show no signs of stopping.
In a few decades you're going to see stories about countries trying to incentivize people to have more kids.

@mackandme123 In the 1960’s there were over 20 public pools in Nashville. They were closed primarily due to integration. We need to rebuild a network of public pools to connect our communities, teach children to be great swimmers, and cool our minds and bodies.

@stephnthecity @bucees Unpopular opinion: I think Bucees is a living nightmare. 😂 Hope it was otherwise a great trip!

Road trip with my 2nd grade bestie and finally had my 1st taste of @bucees in Crossville. The key lime pie & banana pudding fudge were surprisingly delicious! What are your Buc-ee’s must haves?

@al_xrated That is the ugliest building built in Nashville in the last 10 years, and also one of the most visible.
