But there were probably multiple factors

Most mornings are high 80s before sun comes up. If you aren’t used to it can easily hyper ventilate/go into cardiac arrest. But like you said it’s all speculation. Hopefully they can figure it out.

One of the best open water swimmers. Died in 09 from cardiac arrest in a race in UAE. Water was 89 degrees Fahrenheit. He died from cardiac arrest from heat stroke.

The only temp I can find is an avg of Marine Creek lake that says 89 is the avg. of it’s that. This race should have been cancelled or severely altered.

Singular movements that would be close to impossible to beat. Getting lost in the weeds. They all train year around to swim now, and 800m is more than do able.

Someone is allegedly missing in the water (Lazar Dukić?) in the run swim event for the CrossFit games CrossFit HQ already the last few years has been a blunder but this going to be disastrous

@SarcasmStardust @steve77005948 @reallymegan that don't have as many hours as they do in any other CrossFit discipline. Open water swimming is strictly for the games. It's the most dangerous event, full stop.
