I think this represents a lot of acres in our area. A few degrees difference in soil and plant temps are really showing up this spring. If this grower would have had a black field I would have checked that as well. But residue differences are showing up in a huge way this spring. What will be better come July? Did we lose potential we can’t make up?

I’m sure lots of people would say we are crazy, but we are trying to grow wheat with 0 synthetic N or P. Big shot of humic at drilling from @HaFa_Ngen then foliar pass of Ngen, Relax Rx, and Amino from @bw_fusion maybe 32-0-0 and 10-34 are the actual “snake oils” 🤷‍♂️

I’ve talked about my soils changing to my eye so I re pulled geo referenced samples from fall to spring and was amazed. 4 years no Phos 3 years no K applied. Meltdown/ humical applied 3 years Weoc ⬆️ 150% on Z 2 WEOC ⬆️ 60% on Z 1 Bray P1 ⬇️ 4% on Z 1 Bray p1 ⬆️ 27% Z 2

Getting pics like this when it’s 22° and snow on the ground gets me excited. Another growing season to learn. We took things that we liked last year tweaked it and so far I love the early season vigor development and color of the wheat we’ve got going. Strong nodal development.
