Stand down, Chas. All production costs were paid for by the non-profit, The Great American Road Trip, Inc. No one in my family - including my husband - were paid to do this. We did it for FREE to celebrate America 250 & encourage other Americans to get off couches & screens and spend time together seeing our country. It was filmed in small one and two day stops over the course of seven months. You and I both know that my husband has done more in one year to transform the DOT and ATC than your husband did in over 4 years on the job. This weekend was a full-court press to rehab Trump's sagging polls, recast him as a statesman, and chastise Democrats. Outlets sanewashed the man who threatened to annihilate a civilization and insulted the Pope weeks ago as "somber and conciliatory." They blamed Democrats for having the nerve to voice disapproval of an unpopular president. Blamed liberals for "conspiracy theories" days after GOP officials couldn't admit how 600% is calculated. Trump rushed to 60 Minutes to lie about verifiable facts caught on camera from multiple angles, with zero pushback. And journalists proudly made themselves the story, sharing photos of themselves rushing to cover him.
I tweet daily about the collapse of the Fourth Estate, their addiction to covering this president while the world crumbles. It was a masterclass in missing the moment, abandoning accountability, and further failing the public.

the CATO Institute.. a libertarian think tank funded by the Koch brothers.. just published a study showing immigrants paid more in taxes than they received in benefits every single year from 1994 to 2023..
not a left-wing university.. not a Democratic PAC.. the Koch brothers' own research institute..
they reduced the deficit by $14.5 trillion over 30 years.. they earn less per hour but work at higher rates.. which means higher per capita income.. which means higher taxes paid..
