I’m not responsible for rumors, or your record with women, Ruben — your reprehensible behavior is.

During an interview in 2019, Gallego called Eric Swalwell his "best friend" and said "I know his heart and he also wants somebody I think in his camp that's going to look out for him and also keep him honest..."

I support the ethics committee’s investigation and believe Eric Swalwell is no longer fit to be a Member of Congress. He should be expelled from Congress. I want to be clear: I had no knowledge of the allegations of assault, harassment, and predatory behavior against Eric Swalwell. I trusted someone who I believed was a friend, but it is now clear that he is not the person I thought I knew. The women who have come forward have shown courage. They deserve to be believed, to be supported, and to see justice served.

I find it VERY hard to believe that Ruben Gallego didn’t know his best friend’s history with women.
After all, Ruben has quite the history himself.

Ruben Gallego bullied & terrorized a 20-year-old woman who worked for the Phoenix City Council. When she complained, he got her fired. He told a Hispanic Republican that she wasn't a REAL Latina because she was conservative. Worst of all, Gallego abandoned his first wife when she was nine months pregnant to shack up with a DC lobbyist. Arizonans need to know how Gallego treats women.
