Using the US military against a fellow liberal democracy is where my position shifts instantly from defense budget maxxing to maximizing the numbers of capabilities I would see terminated so the US military becomes a glorified border patrol.

It’s very telling that every single other western close combat force is going in the common sense direction of a modern AR platform service weapon, and the only ones arbitrarily focused on the boogeyman of body armor is the US Army.

It was obvious that those officers sent by numerous European countries, including Finland, were not there "planning exercises", they were planning the multinational defense of Greenland against the US threat.
Europe was dead serious about the possibility of war against USA.
