The deficit being 4 instead of 3 really shouldn’t matter in deciding whether to use Muñoz in the 9th. The difference in those situations is minuscule and definitely doesn’t impact anything mentally. That was a totally reasonable time to use your best reliever. He just sucked!

@IISwitchII @uwcommentor Because of no save situation and a save situation are two completely different things. The mentality is different. Also you see him struggling and you leave him in. Even if he somehow finishes the game without giving up those runs, it's still a terrible decision. Brash was ready.

@uwcommentor Dan used his best reliever to close a game, pulled him after it becoming clear he didn’t have it, and played the matchup with Merrill. I do not understand the blame. The players simply didn’t execute, it happens.
