Be selfish. Leave at 5pm. Take all your PTO. Ignore work calls on the weekend. Never take your work home. Jump to better jobs. Start side hustles. Always look out for yourself, FIRST.

Next up, just a month away, we’ve got a big one: The 126th United States Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, June 18-21. Simply put, this storied venue is one of America’s oldest and best: founded in 1891, first purpose-built clubhouse in 1892, USGA founding member in 1895, host of the 2nd U.S. Open in 1896, and one of the 10 best golf courses in the world. It’s impossible for a golf fan not to get excited for a U.S. Open at Shinnecock.

Dwyane Wade says it’s difficult for LeBron James to retire because he’s still playing at an elite level: “I’m just here to appreciate what I’m witnessing…because we’ve never seen this before. It has to suck a little bit to get to this point in your career and still be really good….like I can still play — I can go play right now and still be able to play but I won’t be that good so it’s easy for me to decide to walk away. It’s hard to make that decision when you’re still really f*cking good….how do you walk away from being a GOAT when you’re still a GOAT?” (via @wynetwork)

I asked soon-to-be 50-year-old Michael Block to reflect on what could be his last PGA Championship start. His response? “I have to be honest with you — there’s no way on God’s green earth this is my last one. No chance. I will definitely qualify for one more, if not five more.”

Rob Pelinka on LeBron: "We probably haven't seen a player that has honored the game to the extent that he's honored the game. He's given so much to his teammates, to this organization. The thing we want to do more than anything else is to honor him back"

LeBron on Austin Reaves: “Seeing AR grow over five years has been nothing short of amazing. He’s a hard worker, he loves the game, he wants to get better and he’s not afraid of constructive criticism. I saw the talent, but also saw that he was willing to put the work in and wasn’t afraid of the moment. To see where he is today is awesome.”
