So much excited tittering about a possible announcement on Monday by PM @MarkJCarney and the Jews. Apparently he is set to deliver momentous remarks on the increasingly Islamist sensibility permeating 🇨🇦, which he has blessed. Enthusiastically. I have absolutely no expectation that Carney will suddenly flip a switch and become a decent, thoughtful leader. He has established his brand as a man who values relations with Qatar, one of the most odious and extreme regimes in the world. They just have nice suits and gobs of money. That doesn’t change who they are. He’s just mad about Islam. And. Hey. That’s cool. It’s just that he has a country to run. And this “Muslim values are Canadian values” shtick is not serving Canadians well. His job is to represent and serve all Canadians. Carney has gone out of his way to demonize Israel. He feigns obliviousness when Jews are attacked and incitement targeting them intensifies. He is and always has been far more focused on “Islamophobia”. Carney’s conduct has set the standard for 🇨🇦. And it is an openly anti semitic, viciously anti Israel standard. He will do nothing tomorrow other than restate his commitment to ensuring all Canadians can worship freely and without fear. He will remind us of the laws his government is passing..to combat hate speech…..which is garbage. We have plenty of laws on the books to deal with the issues. They just need to be enforced. Carney is PM. He needs to act like one. Treat the rampant Jew hatred that flourishes unfettered throughout Canada as the national security issue that it is. Stop pretending that it’s a matter for municipal cops to deal with. And he needs to apologize. Unreservedly. For turning his back on Canada’s Jews and throwing them to the dogs.
