Do Kwon and the team were trying to build a “”complete parallel global monetary system” on one blockchain — stablecoins for “every major fiat currency (USD, EUR, JPY, GBP, CNY, KRW, and 20+ others) all interoperating seamlessly. If it had worked, LUNC (then just Luna) would have been the “reserve asset” backing the entire network. As the basket of stables grew into real-world usage (payments, remittances, DeFi, cross-border trade), LUNC’s value would scale with it. Here’s where it gets exciting — and why the “what if” is even bigger. You use today’s ~6.5 trillion LUNC supply for the hypothetical. But if the vision had succeeded, that trillion-level supply would *never* have existed. The vision was 10 years ahead… and the math backs up why it could have been life-changing. What do you think the realistic basket size could have hit if it never collapsed? Pre-crash Luna supply was only ~350M (not today’s 6.5T).
