BIG: Parliament will be convened for 3 days between April 16 and 18 to pass women’s reservation bill amendments. The dates are just days before Tamil Nadu and West Bengal go to polls. Will opposition agree or insist that Parliament be convened only after elections are over on May 4? Do they have any choice since no one can be seen to be against women’s reservation? Are major decisions timed for narrative building with an eye on polls or to distract attention from more pressing issues like the impact of the West Asia war on the economy?
