The Supreme Court heard arguments today on Mississippi's law that allows mail-in ballots up to 5 days after Election Day, as long as ballots have been post marked by Election Day. Here's my live report explaining how a decision in this case could affect you.

Should federal agents be required to obtain a warrant signed by a judge before entering your home? Or is an administrative warrant (signed by an admin official), good enough? If confirmed as DHS secretary, @SenMullin pledges he will require judicial warrants, except for in instances where a suspect is being pursued. Here's my report on what legal experts are saying about this subject.

UPDATE: Because an online bond system has been very slow to grant approval for an account, reporter, Estefany Rodriguez Florez is still in custody. The account would’ve been used to submit the bond payment.

The family will instead drive to Memphis, Tennessee to pay the bond in person some time between today and tomorrow.

Her attorney believes she will be released tomorrow afternoon once that bond is posted.

According to an online database, Rodriguez is currently being held in an ICE facility in Louisiana.

The suspect in this week's shooting at Old Dominion University had been on DOJ's radar for more than a decade. He'd been convicted for attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State. Here's my story from today.

We have an update, friends. After today's hearing in the Court of International Trade, Judge Richard Eaton is no longer requiring "immediate compliance" in the tariffs case. WHY? The short order does not give details, however, we know that CBP official, Brandon Lord, previously detailed how hard it would be to expeditiously issue refunds for potentially millions of entries (possibly 53,173,939). Earlier this week, Judge Eaton said the administration should pay back tariffs with interest. Here's the order:

8/8 Lord says if a total of 53,173,939 entries are entitled to a refund, it would take 4,431,161 man hours for CBP to complete this task. But once again, the agency is taking all possible steps to implement a new system to streamline this process.
