The clue is in the word "EXPLOIT".
This is against TOS and anyone involved in doing the exploit or sharing information on how to do the exploit should 100% be punished.
It's all well and good saying "well it's Ubi's fault" but no one forced you to proceed to do it.

I've seen lots of people complain about YouTube doing this. These are the same people that would refuse to pay for a subscription to support a channel. How else do you expect YouTubers to keep making the content you want to watch for free? They need to make money somehow.

On top of that processing video on a large scale is expensive asf. I think the financial side needs to be considered somewhere here.
