I made the point a week ago “If any other team added Malachi Moreno, Alex Wilkins, and Zoom Diallo, what would the conversations be?”
I guarantee you they would not be bottom of the SEC, not top 25, risk of missing the tournament, etc

One of the best bigs left in the portal is FAU transfer 6’10” Devin Williams. He tells me he’s recently heard from the following: - Arizona (visiting tomorrow) - North Carolina - Virginia Tech - Oklahoma - Lots of other HM+ schools Williams finished top-3 in the country in blocks last season, establishing himself as one of the most elite rim protectors. His 11.1% BLK rate placed him in the 98th percentile. Offensively, he inserted himself as a lob threat with the ability to knock down open jumpers. Averaged 7.5 PPG 5.2 REB and 2.6 BLK per game last season in 23.8 MIN. @dmanzan14

In 2024, Kentucky had a starting five that began their careers at SDSU, BYU, OU, Delaware, & Drexel. Fully healthy, they beat the eventual national champs and were Elite 8 caliber. If that roster were built this offseason, it would likely be criticized. Not saying this year's team will succeed or fail, just saying maybe we should let it play out.

@dombknowing Kentucky was an analytical darling last offseason but on the court they were bad bad. This next years team should be a lot closer to popes year 1 team which I’m assuming you know well
