My initial NHL27 beta reaction thus far. Ive played one period of Play Now. - Jailbreak available in the rules settings, cool addition - I love the presentation, im always big on presentation and EA nailed it, gotta give credit where its due - LCA is portrayed great - pre game presentation is amazing - goal presentation amazing - new settings look is clean - dark UI is still here (thank god) - some mistakes with animations and also showed me Hildeby when it was supposed to show Justin Faulk, however its the beta, i expect these polish issues, thats why we have a beta - poke check is back - clean font, similar to NHL13 but modernized - menus are quick but some lag in the choose team screen, still a beta not worried Overall, its not terrible, all small additions, if ur a diehard fan yea get it, casual fan i’d skip a year. Im hoping they add authentic draft picks to custom leagues.

@BulgerJosiah Goal songs were not present atleast for LCA, but neither were announcers so my guess is that theyre still working on that or copyright reasons, theres also no menu music except the standard “EA Menu Music”

@BulgerJosiah Similar to 26, poke check is improved, AI teammate logic has improved to intercept passes and pick up the puck, all ive noticed so far. Gameplay wasnt a main focus this year. If you wanted footage i cant, i do not want to lose my EA Playtester status

@BluePinestripes Yes, gotta go to the “Offline” tab in the main menu. Theres only 2 modes. Connected Franchise in “Online” and the play now mode in “Offline”
