This is a clear desecration of G-d’s name and at a time when our IDF soldiers are engaged in the utmost holy work, risking their lives day and night to defend our country and protect every citizen of Israel, turning against them in anger or violence is not only morally wrong, it undermines the very values of Torah and Jewish unity.

No, there aren’t just two camps here. There’s a large middle group who aren’t demonizing Haredim nor consider them sub-human. They hear the Haredi argument and still reject it. Framing it as two-sides who despise each other paints all advocates of the draft as malicious rather than principled.

I just deleted a thread about Charedim and the Israeli draft. There is no way to discuss this. It is a very sad situation and I mourn over how both sides are behaving. It’s like watching the Churban happen all over again.

I will never bend the knee to the state of Israel. Ever. That is the opposite of Christ, who came to stand with the suffering and confront power. I reject that lie completely. I am not owned by money, donors, or access.
