For the kind information of those giving new spins to the word Sanatanam, in the OG Eradicate conference where Udhay said it first, DK head Veeramani quoted from a book saying Sanatanam and Hinduism are one and the same.

Have said it once, i will say it again! Who i was born to wasn’t my choice, thankfully I was born to parents that are beyond great. Leadership is feeling empathetic towards another person’s struggles and enabling growth beyond barriers & that’s what my parents & teachers have taught me. I want to live till the day, we stop talking about lineage or caste 🙏

No such thing as primary text. It is just an opinion. If you adhere to.the text, yes it is a sin. If you ignore the text, it is not a sin. The Subala Upanishad says (chapter 3 ) --- The undaunted man never grieves, as he knows Atma to be great, all-pervading and unborn. (...) Some attain this Atma by the six means: of Truth, Charity, Austerity, of Non-injury to any creature, of Brahmacharya, of indifference to worldly objects; And there are no other means. --- Does it make following the scriptures mandatory? Instead of going to.a temple, go volunteer in a goshala. More effective!

Vedas are mostly rituals, not really relevant. The philosophical part like the Subala Upanishads is useful. But the Prabhandams got the heart of a Sri Vaishnavite worships. It is a very personal faith. That is why the Alwars are so important, especially Namalvar and Andal. I personally would like to add Thirukural to the SV canon! Bhakti and ethics go hand in hand. The Vedic form of worship is very different. Too ritualised, too sterile. It is alien. That is why Smarthas like it ! The SV tradition is a very personal relationship with Narayana. That is its beauty. As with all Bhakti traditions. The Agamas and temple traditions are unique to SriVaishnavism. It finds no mention in the Vedas. A lot of the Agamas are non Vedic. The SV tradition is basically a ote Vedic bhakti tradition where the Vedic tradition got added later. But that tradition never really took root. Only the Brahmins follow that part. Other Srinvaishnavites place more emphasis on the Prabhandams. That should tell you something! Did Narayana tell us that unless you follow the Vedas, you will get Moksha ? Then why do we insist ?

Vedas is just one set of texts and are irrelevant to the bhakti tradition and hence can be safely discarded. Only Brahmins who want to retain some hold cling on to it. It is just a Power grab! These are just traditions, not some gospel truth. How one worships should ultimately be left to worshipper, there is no need to add an intermediary or rituals into the mix. The essence of SriVaishnavism is bhakti, not rituals. Rituals are only useful for families like mine to maintain control! Forget the Vedas, read the Prabhandams.

I was born in a shrI vaiSNava family myself, and still identify loosely as one, though I have't had pa~ncasaMskAram I like many aspects of it - the panentheistic framework to me is more appealing than strict monism. Also like the incorporation of elite bhakti literature in temple procedurals (pAsurams). But the risk with sectarian movements is precisely this! Though rAmAnuja, deshika et al were NOT populists and stoutly defended vedic orthopraxy and the shrutis / sMRtis, at least some of their followers use "bhakti" as some shortcut to dispense with those aspects of the religion they find "hard" H-establishment ought to address this populism. Just because your viSNu sahasranAma says - "yasya smaraNa mAtreNa janmasaMsAra bandhanAt, vimucyate namastasmai viSNave prabha viSNave", that doesn't absolve or exempt an initiate from studying / honoring the shruti, undertaking vaidika rituals.

Not really, go read the subala Upanishad. Where Ramanuja derived his ideals from. All sampradaya is optional, all that is needed is surrendering to the Narayana. All the other paraphernalia is timepass to keep the Brahmins occupied. Are you claiming Andal was a true Sri Vaishnavite? The concept of a brahmin itself is bogus. Think post Vedic Sri Vaishnavism! Sampradaya is supposed to keep up with the times and it is merely a tool to give you structure. Can be fully dispensed with.
