Covid was the death blow to my marriage. Soon I’ll be another silent statistic. I stopped fearing the virus during summer 2020. He remained afraid. I was angry that an unelected social worker could force-mask me and my children. He didn’t mind. (1/2)

@carldemaio Of course they voted down your motion. Citizen journalists threaten their power— can’t have that.

BREAKING: CA Democrats just voted down my motion to stop AB 2624 — the “Stop Nick Shirley Act.” This insane bill would make it a crime for citizen journalists to post videos of left-wing groups engaging in fraud. An unconstitutional law to hide fraud from taxpayers! WATCH:

@joelpollak Holiday fireworks over the ocean - banned. ❌ Trash from homeless encampments flowing in to the ocean - allowed. ✅ California’s priorities are entirely inverted.

The California Coastal Commission has canceled 250th anniversary fireworks for the Fourth of July in Long Beach -- after 15 years of July 4th shows -- because of ridiculous claims that fireworks pollute the ocean. cbsnews.com/losangeles/new…

@KevinKileyCA Great idea. Then get someone to prosecute the illegal fireworks that are actually dangerous and disrupt the lives of law-abiding citizens and their pets.

CAUGHT ON HIDDEN CAMERA: LA Housing Department Financial Officer Admits Witnessing Multiple Instances of Fraud Up To “$10–$20 Million” & “Going To People’s Pockets,” Homeless Developers Committing Forms Of Embezzlement, With Superiors Looking The Other Way To Help Mayor Karen Bass Maintain “Re-Election Funds.” “I have a couple of developers doing really sketchy stuff. My project was with a developer called CRCD — Marcella Gardens. We [LA City] can’t figure out where all the money is going… it’s going to people’s pockets.” “If they [LA Housing Department] were to call out the people [Developers] contacting Karen Bass’s office, she might not get enough money for re-election — or for what she needs done.” “For whatever reason, LAHSA gets allocated a ton of money, but they [LAHSA] don’t really have a whole lot to show for it.” Donald Byers, a Finance Development Officer from the Los Angeles housing programs, admits on hidden camera that millions of taxpayer money disappear inside the city’s low-income housing system. Byers told our undercover journalist he flagged the fraud internally but was ignored. “I’ve reported it… nothing happens.” Accountability is avoided. Despite years-long delays on projects, funding continues to flow even when, by his own admission, officials are failing. Meanwhile, as billions are poured into homelessness programs, the money is “going to people’s pockets.” Despite years-long project delays, funding continues to flow even as, by his own admission, oversight appears to be failing. After raising red flags, Byers says nothing changed and now he claims, “At this point, I’m just covering myself.” Our team reached out to Byers for comment and he threatened to contact lawyers in order to stop our publication. We also reached out to @LAHD___ , @CRCD_SouthLA , & @MayorOfLA for comment. Mayor Karen Bass replied with, “this is total BS.” Thank you, @Savsays for hosting this report. @ctznjusticelg @KarenBassLA @MayorOfLA @GavinNewsom @CAgovernor @GavinNewsom @LAHD___ @CRCD_SouthLA

@spencerpratt @TheGussReport How did this thuggery ever become normalized? It should have been shut down and arrests made the first time. That’s not “kids having fun”; someone is going to die.

CA cities spend untold amounts of tax money to remove car lanes and replace them with bus and bike lanes that NOBODY USES. Frustrated drivers are crammed into the one lane left for cars while the politicians tell us we don’t need cars! It’s delusional self-strangulation.
Carl DeMaio@carldemaio

Sacramento wants to take your gas tax money—and spend it on empty transit and bike lane projects. AB 2560 would raid road funds while drivers pay more and get worse roads. Enough is enough. Fix our roads—not failed transit. Tell your legislator: VOTE NO on AB 2560.

@FOXLA The city is crumbling before our very eyes, and ballots go out in a month, but 40% of residents can’t be bothered to even learn who’s running. It’s no wonder Los Angeles is in the mess that it is. People don’t care. Shameful.

L.A. is crumbling before our eyes, but 40% of the populace is clueless about the mayor’s race. It’s not possible to be undecided when your choices are: the incumbent who incinerated Pacific Palisades, a socialist running to her left, and one passionate guy whose home burned down.
FOX 11 Los Angeles@FOXLA

A UCLA Luskin poll finds 40% of Los Angeles voters are undecided in the 2026 mayoral race, with incumbent Karen Bass leading at 25% support. foxla.com/news/la-mayor-…

California is beyond parody. They actively work to perpetuate poverty and energy shortages. Then, when they get poverty and energy shortages, they create programs to steal money from average citizens and bail out the people who bought into their lies. @GavinNewsom's plan for the state: 'from each according to their ability, to each according to their need."
Comfortably Smug@ComfortablySmug

Can't make this up: California spent your tax dollars pushing people to buy electric vehicles. Now those EVs are breaking down. California's response: Use more tax dollars to fix the vehicles.

@christopherrufo Fraud is a real problem that must be stopped. But go deeper— the root cause is CA’s obsession with giving free stuff to people. The gov’t should not be allowed to take my hard-earned money and give it to someone else who they deem “more deserving”. The state itself is the thief.

California logic: Make the productive members of society bear the costs of crime while the criminals roam free. 😡 L.A.’s city council in all of its idiotic brilliance wants property owners pay to repair street lights whose copper wire was stolen. laist.com/transportation…

Yesterday I saw my doctor. He’s a younger guy who truly cares about his patients. He came in >1 hour late. The practice was bought by a big hospital and his calendar is double-booked. He seemed worn out and stressed. The system is burning out the few good doctors who are left.

Another L.A. money grab: speed cameras that issue $500(!) speeding tickets. Good luck contesting that. And in typical “progressive” fashion, poor and “unhoused” people are exempt. theeastsiderla.com/neighborhoods/…
