@warsan003 The ability to listen to an idea you strongly disagree with is the praiseworthy attitude the Greek philosopher is alluding to The threshold of mere utterances qualifying as ideas is, in my opinion, debatable The thick skin required to suffer fools is the premium here, I guess.

Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Nicholas "Fink" Haysom. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues at this profoundly difficult time. It was a genuine honour to meet this giant in Kismayo in October 2018 in the company of my then boss, President Ahmed Madobe of Jubaland, during my tenure as Minister of Planning. Fink, an SRSG to Somalia at the time, exemplified authentic African statesmanship—wise, principled, and informed by the courageous moral clarity he carried from South Africa’s struggle against apartheid. The apartheid regime imprisoned him four times for his unwavering commitment to justice. His legacy as a dedicated and principled peacemaker will endure for years to come. Jy sal gemis word, Fink.
