"Juniors don’t JUST exist to become seniors... They challenge old assumptions, they poke holes in outdated practices, and... they take some of the cognitive load from senior developers who are otherwise drowning in meetings, context-switching, or some other soul-sucking corporate activity." @AwesomeCodeClub youtube.com/watch?v=DcJ53E…

@rough__sea First of all, I'm not even Russian. Second of all, I objectively consider my accent flawless.

"Since the web is neither as complex as game development nor as sensitive as the embedded systems, web developers have to create their own job security through useless complexity." Just hilariously @AwesomeCodeClub , best line I heard in a while

Wasp
Wasp@WaspLang·
Wasp went to @ReactSummit in Amsterdam this past weekend as invited speakers alongside some amazing teams, so we thought we’d fill you in on what we learned there: 1) React frameworks were a big focus, and it wasn’t only NextJS. Members of the React core team mentioned that they learn a lot from, and collaborate a lot with, the other frameworks. E.g. it seems like RSC and other features in React 19 took a lot of inspiration from the frameworks. 2) Most frameworks are focusing on hydration and server side rendering in an effort to statically serve as most content as possible. This is important for content-focused and static sites, which ultimately makes up a lot of the web, but doesn’t always make as much sense for SPAs! 3) Because of this SSR focus, there wasn't much talk of truly full-stack frameworks, even though there's been a lot of talk about this in the community (e.g. "where is the Rails/Laravel for JS?"). We're excited that Wasp is one of the few players tackling this problem! 4) Remix seems to be rebranding and moving many of their features into React Router. We’re not sure what this means for Remix itself, but we were told Remix will remake itself to be more focused on React Server Components in the future. 5) Building in Open Source is still hot and people, like @antfu7 of @nuxtlabs, gave good talks about how to build in open source. We find this to be a good signal and inspiring for the Wasp journey. All in all, we met some great people and heard some great talks, but the best thing we got out of the conference was the feeling that Wasp is on the right path towards success!

Me watching big tech channels fighting while the video I spent days making barely reaches 10k views.

Seriously? I have no idea who you are talking about or what those interactions were. But I'm concerned with the now, and in the now, this tweet and the original tweet are actively dissuading folks from creating content. "Programming advice" is bad now? Reacting to programming advice content that other people make is you live on @ThePrimeagen. Creators spend a ton of time creating in-depth videos, and then you spend just about as much time as it takes to read/react to it live, to repurpose and resell it on your own channel. I appreciate your style. But your style isn't the only style. And there are far larger channels than yours that are straight up educational content. It might come as a shock, but sometimes folks just want to learn about a particular thing. We are LONG overdue for a real talk about the tech content reaction video economy. In the meantime however, I strongly recommend that instead of trying to dissuade the creators from creating the content you live on, that instead you find a way to encourage and promote (in actually measurable ways) the creators you depend on.
