PSA: ALL of my artwork, commission or fanart, comes with commercial and merch rights! I get asked this a few times, I cannot keep track of everyone's art rights. To make it simple for my tiny brain it is all included! I price comfortably for myself so I don't do extra charges.

I once waited a year and a half for a comm to be completed. It took them a long time to respond to my messages every time I reached out, but they did respond and finished the comm eventually. I'm slowly realizing that I might have gotten quite lucky with all that ngl 😵‍💫

I’m trying to house two people. Application fees are wild around here, sometimes as much as $75 or $100 per applicant. This company charges PER APPLICANT. Just to be abundantly clear. Yes it’s a $50 fee. I’m trying to house TWO people.

Don’t fuck me over on art. I don’t care if kofi, and @paypal want to give artists the chance to process their own refunds but I will not fuck around with you ignoring me for months. You will get blasted! 🥰

@CalamareiVT I definitely feel like I often see missing stuff on YCH the most.

@Awkquido A lot of times people will miss my black bow behind my model’s ears. It is technically an accessory so sometimes i just let the comm be done without it. Same with squid pupils being rectangles. I try to correct it but on a YCH some artist wont change it some will.

Sometimes I get asked for corrections on an art piece. Then I see the same corrections aren't on their other commissioned pieces. Is this because the artists decline to change them or? Should I be more picky when it comes to allowing corrections? Something I've pondered.

@hijinkery_ That seems to be a reoccurring feeling, many don't want to ask or are afraid to ask >u<

@Awkquido I really struggle with asking for corrections, so when I'm commissioning someone I'll prioritise the thing I'd like corrected most, and leave the smaller things so I don't ask for too much and come across as rude 😅

@uke6ever LOL There is no difference in the two, just as an example of what I feel like I sometimes see. The same thing just one is deemed OK and the other wrong. 😁It's not an actual commission piece

@Kat59217016 Color changes are probably the best corrections because they're generally simple and easy fixes !!

@Awkquido I hate asking for corrections I always feel like a bitch 😭 once it was as simple as changing his hair color. The other time I think we just kept misunderstanding where the issue was but it got corrected in the end

@NixeNecrosis I've considered that, part of me just feels bad about getting stuff wrong so I try not to restrict correction amount but maybe I should.

@Awkquido When I used to do commissions, I did a three strikes and you're out rule with corrections. I didn't mind doing them, but I feel like when you're commissioning an artist, you're also paying for that art style too. It all depends on the artist really.

Personally I don't mind making changes as long as the client is nice. some people are super rude. No thank you, no compliments just "This is wrong, fix it." ESPECIALLY when they aren't specific about what needs to be changed. I've had people say it just "looks wrong" like... okay? how do I make it look "right"??? 😂

@ElowynneVT Never a burden!! I wish the 'fear' to ask wasn't a thing. I like to believe most artists are understanding but I get a lot arent 💀

@Awkquido sometimes i just feel like the artist isn’t going to get mad at me 😭 while other times i just leave it because it feels like my comm is already too much of a burden or something for the artist 😭😭😭

@murphychuu Fair! I guess it's more so when comms are missing things like design aspects and I question if it's on purpose or not 🤯

@Awkquido It could also just be about artstyle? The ears on my model are more pointy than on my emotes because the chibi style of the emotes just looks better this way. So maybe if your artstyle is softer than other pieces they have?
