@pontusab Mostly e2e tests, maybe a few unit tests. Playwright + msw + testing-library conventions make tests really resilient against change.

@threepointone @RozenMD a big thing for me is that if you need a advanced feature in remix there's pretty much nothing stopping you from building it yourself, you don't have to fight the existing api to "extend" it

@RozenMD yeah something about the lack of "advanced" features that's kinda liberating, I wonder if there's a name for the phenomena

yet another point in favour of remix' "manual" mode, which is basically react-router + some compiler niceties. I think I just want a good routing + fetching library and I'm mostly set. wary of standardizing on a bundler/plugins with opinions on compute architecture.

Fine grained reactivity sounds nice but I like that react is just JavaScript

@siddharthkp @mattpocockuk The Alert, AlertDescription and AlertTitle components live in your app, which in turn could import radix (but is one of the components that doesn’t use radix). if you check the docs under Installation and Manual it might become clearer which use it, for example the accordion.

did everyone already know shadcn ui is a wrapper around radix ui?

A year ago, I wrote about the things I struggled with while working with @remix_run. One of the things I wrote about was how Remix didn't give me control over the build pipeline. kettanaito.com/blog/my-strugg… Since then, the Remix team has solved that problem. And they've solved it in the most incredible way possible. Remix became a Vite plugin. This kind of design decision is why I freaking love Remix. They could've expanded on their own config, added some "plugins" option, maybe allowed merging it with your existing build config... They did nothing of that. Because nothing of that would have the developer's best interest in mind. I am so stocked to see most of the points I mentioned in the article resolved! I still find the routing syntax a bit too magical to my liking but there are packages to change it, if you'd like. Looking forward to more improvements from Remix.

gave it a day to set up app router and migrate a few pages in a @nextjs app aaand i've given up. too many edge cases that are not covered in the docs to make it even remotely worth it.
