I would like to see any source you have on the water. My information is from studies on the effects AI has on the brain, not IQ decreases in a country.

AI companies are supported by Government spending and stock market manipulation, monetary support from subscription fee is not nearly enough to say that contribute to anything meaningful to the continued growth of these companies. AI data centers and water has already been debunked. It was started by lying misinformed people. Normal fresh water rusts and contaminate the piping used to cool the data centers. It has to use purified water and oil based cooling solutions. You would know this if you handled cooled loops in computer building. Mineral based water degrades the system they are trying to cool. You know how stupid they would have to be to pump in fresh water? "AI also harms the people that use it cognitively when they rely on it." Do you understand what a bell curve is? The bell curve has been trending backwards for a while now, the latest is American intelligence is back towards normality of 83, our combined cognitive functions have been going backwards for years now. To say it was AI is complete idiotic malinformation. I could get into the specifics of it, but a majority of high school kids and college age kids are reading at or below a 7th grade level. You think this is because of AI? AI is only a few years old, this has been a trend for over 20 years. So nice try. Everything you know is malinformation taught to you by liars. I feel like you're trying to argue with me, but your a one legged man in an ass kicking competition.

@TmosMonstrocity @Codeforged_One @TheMG3D Yes, the AI companies are to blame for theft. However, people using AI also supports these companies, and also contributes to things like lack of water people have near AI datacentres. AI also harms the people that use it cognitively when they rely on it.

Then explain to me in detail how you say this, but hold it in contempt for stealing when you know is physically can't. It has no arms, nor legs, nor eyes, nor a brain, no actual body. Why spread is idiotic malinformation that IT stole anything. Plain and simple, if anyone stole it was the trainers or the company creating the AI. The technology is innocent. It's the people making prompts, it's the people manipulating it to create derivative works. It just pisses me off that people say AI is to blame, that's a soiled brat entitled outlook of a complex scenario broken down to simple mush for idiots to comprehend. Corporations don't want to pay you, you cost too much. If it isn't AI it would be Chinese workers, if not Chinese worker then North Korean slaves. Quit blaming AI it's the scapegoat.

It’s run by large corporations with the goal of making profit, the company decides what it trains on. In an ongoing case against OpenAI, one of their ex-employees was vouching against them.

This narrative of AI theft is so played out and boring. It's so factually inaccurate and tiresome. AI trains on images/music yes, but it transforms those images/music into data, so it's trans-formative by its very nature. This theft of artists. Who hasn't been stolen from? Musicians have been stolen from for years with sampling, derivatives, trans-formative works. Artists have been stolen from since before I can remember. This is the old slave reparations. If every artist had to pay every artist that drew before them all artists would be broke and actually be in forever debt. We can't operate in a negative and act like this can become a positive. This whole argument was created by the music industry and passed on to gullible liberal democrats to spread this bat shit crazy mentality. Name me one artist who has never been inspired by another artist. Name me one artist who has never learned from another artists work. If you can then a hole lot of artists need to pay that mofo some money because everyone stole from him/her. Art is a series of copying manipulating and changing. To say otherwise you're either not an artist or just plain stupid.

AI trains on people’s intellectual property without permission, and then acts as direct competition 1/2

A lot of AI used in science and medicine outputs benefits humanity by helping with breakthroughs such as mapping a fruit fly’s brain or detecting cancer. Image and text generation isn’t the same AI used, and is harmful.

Ok tell me you don't know how research in the modern age works without tell me. You need to understand, it takes teams of researchers and millions of dollars to research something. Now you could have that same team of smart people using AI that is lead by a super smart genius, who is using AI, all working together one a single point of interest. Something massively important like CANCER research. Do you even know how many billions of cancers there are? It could take millions of years and trillions of dollars and we would still beary break even on cancer, because cancers are created in your body daily. Let alone drug resistance molds or bacteria changing and modifying hourly. You're just so uneducated it's beyond belief. But yea let all of this stop because AI stole your Reddit fan art.

If somebody’s mind is great at processing, they don’t need AI for assistance, and they’d be capable of great achievements without an AI. If anything the AI would hold them back, research shows reliance on AI harms your critical thinking skills.

The benefits are unlimited, you might as well ask me to name the stars in the sky. Or imagine the future of the future. Just a stupid question from a limited mindset. I will give you an example. Imagine the smartest person who has ever lived. Now imagine this person using an interactive database and a self computing computer for assistance or any number of problem. Having hyperactive thoughts, processing unimaginable processes. The scale of his/her achievements could be unimaginable. But that all stopped because some reddit artists think AI is stealing their "work" of anime thiefdom. Yea justified to stop all AI research because you feel it stole your fanart rendition of sonic. This is simpleton logic.
