Looking at the #RUNES tokens there is one that stands out to be me in a big way. Clear and simple and a no nonsense name for it. ....... Generational•Wealth. You need to know nothing more and nothing less....... This is right in front of your face. #RunesProtocol

Be mindful, participation in a Cup Tournament resets your Cup Score to zero. Choose your battles wisely, for those who abstain retain their accumulated score. Prepare for a Tournament like no other, where strategy, courage, and skill shall crown the worthy. - The Shepherd

I was a week away from homelessness... Considered selling my first media business for pennies just to keep a roof over my head. I was desperate. Little did I know I was one smart move away from turning that business into 2 million dollars. Here’s how it went down... First, I pitched a very successful entrepreneur to acquire my business and give me a job. His offer? $50k of equity in his company + a meager salary. I rejected the offer, and took a bet on myself. What followed was cold sweat and sheer panic. Was this an awful decision? My path forward felt far more like a dream than a plan. I swallowed my pride and asked for help. My roommate and mother each gave me $750 to cover my rent for one more month. With $15k in credit card debt and a few dollars in my bank I made a bet. I called a family member and asked for a loan. One year prior I had hosted an event in NYC which covered my cost of living up until now. I would do it again despite it being the middle of the worst financial crisis since the great depression. I bet that one more event would get me back in the black. Guess what? It didn’t! Due to the economy, businesses had cut back significantly on marketing budgets. I lost thousands of dollars and was now even worse off. I was demoralized. What should I do now? On a bus back from the event in NYC to DC my cell phone rang. “Hey Nick, this is Alan. Any interest in selling your business?” Alan had walked into the venue of my conference the day after and my signage was still hanging up. He took it as a literal sign. That conversation on the bus led to a $2.5 million acquisition within weeks. Not only did I get more for my equity but I learned countless life and business lessons in the process of selling my business. The moral? Never fucking quit. Try new things, take reasonable risks, and KEEP marching forward. You never know what will happen. (Me a few months before the acquisition.)
